Smoothies can be super inconsistent. You sometimes get bowls melted when they're busy and leave them out for a while while preparing. Any time you say something, the staff gets triggered. I feel like any coffee shop would be happy to remake something if it doesn't seem right. Also, I feel like acai should be the principal ingredient in the acai smoothies but sometimes I see them put more of that overly sweet added sugar tropical spirulina or coconut beach than the acai itself. People need to be more aware of what you're actually buying – I don't think they realize what coconut beach and tropical spirulina is, and you can't find the nutrition facts anywhere. I've come here at least a few times a week, sometimes up to 4 or 5 times a week with my wife. Now with the price increase and all the inconsistencies, I'm just going to get the ingredients and make it at home. Also, the price increase is annoying because I bought a bunch of funds in advance and now they've been suddenly devalued by ~10% overnight.

They weren't lying with the other reviews about rude employees. I was literally the only one in there I was sitting down looking at the menu then went to the register to order and no response/acknowledge of existence. Like I was invisible and there were 2 employees working right in front of me. No one else in the store. The written sign at the register said out of "bananas, mango, coconut flakes, date honey, gigi berry" ... So it was hard to figure out what to get since most items had banana. Generally employees say hello. Welcome. What would you like. Are you ready to order. Just say something, don't just straight up ignore people. Maybe those 2 employees shouldn't be scheduled together at the same time if they have the same energy? If the owner wants to check the camera it was 5:45-5:54pm 05/24

Online ordering was disabled, but when I got to the store there was nobody waiting, no orders in queue, and three kids behind the counter on their phones. I moved the pile of cardboard from in front of the counter, ordered at the (dirty) kiosk, waited 15 minutes, and got my order all without having been spoken to by staff once. Customer service doesn’t really exist at Palmetto Superfoods, but even then this was pretty extreme. The door, the walls, and the glass all look like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. It’s crazy that this company is comfortable with a bunch of teenagers doing the absolute bare minimum in every aspect of the business. I’ll take the Burlingame location blasting music at full volume over whatever is happening here.

These are seriously the best acai bowls in the bay. They use just acai puree to make their acai bowls, not a smoothie blend which is so much better. They also have many other different smoothies you can have, like coconut, spirulina, pitaya, and many more. You can add an many toppings as you want, no extra charge, which is so great. The inside is very small, but there are a few sets inside and many more outside. Great location in Town and Country mall. Truly the best!

I love love LOVE Palmetto. It’s hands down my favorite açaí place, and I’ve tried a bunch in the Bay Area. It’s got colorful, fresh ingredients, and you have unlimited toppings and bases to choose from all for the same price. That’s golden! Not only do you have free rein in how many bases and toppings you want to put, but their vibe and branding are also really well done. And as a fellow creative, I appreciate the quality in their food and in their story and mission statement. And I absolutely love that they have highly nutritious and delicious ingredients like spirulina, beehive pollen, chia seeds, flax seeds, hemp, etc The only reason I have a 3 rating for atmosphere is the location is just a bit tiny, but there are chairs and tables outside. It’s just that it’s not the cleanest if people have sat there. And the tables aren’t reserved just for palmetto so anyone from any of the food places can sit there, making it hard to find a spot sometimes. Other than that, great bowls 🩷
